1. Purpose and Definitions
These terms govern the use of Tango City (the "Service") by its users.
- User: anyone who agrees to these terms and uses the Service
- Editor (organizer): a user with the right to register and manage information for milongas, practicas, lessons, and other listings
- Post: content created by users, such as questions and answers on the Service
2. Effect and Changes
- These terms take effect when posted on the Service
- The Service may amend these terms within the limits of applicable law
- If we amend these terms, we will announce the previous and the amended terms, the effective date, and the reasons. The amendment takes effect as follows
- Immediate effect — changes that do not materially affect your rights or obligations (wording cleanup, link or contact updates, formatting) take effect on the day they are posted
- Urgent changes — changes required by law or a regulator, or needed urgently to address security vulnerabilities, data breaches, or a serious disruption to the Service, take effect immediately and are announced afterwards
- 15 days before the effective date — changes that affect business users such as organisers are announced at least 15 days in advance and notified to those users on a durable medium such as email
- 7 days before the effective date — other changes that disadvantage users are announced at least 7 days in advance, and changes that significantly affect your use are notified separately on a durable medium such as email. You may refuse the change and delete your account before the effective date
- Amendments are limited to the following reasons: compliance with law, security, significant changes to Service features, and unavoidable changes to the operating structure
- If you do not agree to the amended terms, you may stop using the Service and delete your account
3. What the Service Provides
- Viewing and searching tango milonga, practica, lesson, and world event information
- Registration and management of information by editors
- A question and answer board (Q&A)
- Reservation and lesson application intake (free applications)
The Service is an information directory. It is not the organizer or seller of any event.
4. Accounts
- You must sign up with accurate information and keep your account information up to date
- Accounts are for your own use and may not be transferred or lent to others
- You are responsible for losses caused by inadequate account management
- Children under 14 may not sign up (Section 10)
- You may request account deletion at any time. On withdrawal, your account and personal activity records are deleted, while posts you wrote and business or event information you registered remain with the author link anonymized
- To prevent abusive re-registration, you cannot re-register with the same email for 30 days after withdrawal
5. User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Register false information or impersonate another person or entity
- Infringe copyrights, trademarks, personal information, or other rights of others
- Post illegal or harmful content, or distribute advertising or spam
- Interfere with the normal operation of the Service or access it excessively through automated means
- Obtain or exercise editing rights by improper means
6. Posts
- Rights and responsibility for posts belong to their author
- The Service does not review posts in advance
- If a post violates these terms or applicable law, the Service may delete it or take temporary measures after the fact (Section 9)
- Authors may delete their own posts at any time
7. Accuracy of Information
- Information registered by the Service from public sources and information managed directly by editors are displayed with distinct labels
- This information is for reference only. Schedules and venues may change, so please check with the organizer before visiting. If you find something wrong, let us know
- The Service does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of event information and is not liable, to the extent permitted by law, for damages arising from reliance on it. This does not apply to damages caused by the Service's intent or gross negligence
8. Reservations and Lesson Applications — We Are Not the Seller
- Reservations and lesson applications are requests delivered to the organizer, and entry fees or lesson fees are paid directly to the organizer on site
- The Service does not process payments and is not a party to fees, refunds, or the quality of any event
- Approval or rejection of applications, and their criteria, are at the organizer's discretion
- Application details are destroyed after the retention period set by the Service (Privacy Policy, Section 4)
9. Deletion and Temporary Measures
When the Service receives a report that a post or event listing infringes rights such as defamation, privacy, or copyright, it follows this procedure.
- Filing: use the report function on a post, "Report" on an event detail screen, or email tangocity24@gmail.com. Reports must describe the infringement, identify the content (screen or URL), and include your contact details
- Review and action: the Service reviews without delay and decides whether to delete, take temporary measures, or dismiss the report within 7 days at the latest, and notifies both the reporter and the author
- Temporary measures: where necessary, the Service may suspend availability. Temporary measures do not exceed 30 days; if extension is unavoidable, we notify the affected user
- Objection: a user subject to a measure may file an objection by email. The Service notifies its decision within 7 days of receiving the objection
10. Age Restriction
- Children under 14 may not use the Service
- The Service does not allow registration of lessons targeting children or teenagers. Such listings may be rejected during review
11. Intellectual Property
- Rights to content and designs created by the Service belong to the Service
- Rights to posts you create belong to you. You grant the Service permission to use your posts within the scope needed to operate, display, and promote the Service
- Logos and posters registered by editors are posted with the permission of their rights holders
12. Changes and Suspension of the Service
- The Service may change or suspend features as operationally or technically needed
- We announce material changes or suspensions in advance. In urgent cases such as outages or security incidents, we may announce them afterwards
13. Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided free of charge and limits its liability to the extent permitted by law
- The Service is not a party to disputes between users, or between users and organizers, and has no duty to mediate them
- This section does not exclude liability arising from the Service's intent or gross negligence, and does not limit rights under mandatory rules applicable to consumers
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea
- Disputes between the Service and users are subject to the jurisdiction of Korean courts
- However, your rights as a consumer under the mandatory rules of your country of residence are not limited by these terms
15. Addendum for EU Users
- The service provider's details appear in the business information block at the bottom of these terms
- The Service will appoint representatives for users in the EU (a representative under data protection law and a legal representative under the Digital Services Act) as soon as possible, and will publish their details in this section and in the Privacy Policy once appointed
- Consumers residing in the EU/EEA may exercise rights granted by mandatory consumer protection rules of their country of residence regardless of these terms
- EU users may seek help from consumer protection authorities in their country of residence
16. Language and Priority
These terms are provided in multiple languages. Translations are for reference only, and the Korean version prevails in case of any discrepancy.
